Play Therapy Supervision

I’m already being supervised (or licensed), why should I get supervision from Dr. Whitehead?

In addition to being an AAMFT Approved Supervisor, and an Idaho State approved supervisor, Dr. Whitehead is also a Registered Play Therapist Supervisor (RPT-S).  This means he has received a significant amount of mentoring and training on how to supervise and mentor not only Marriage and Family Therapists but also Play Therapists. Also, as of January 1, 2020 in order to become a Registered Play Therapist with the Associate for Play Therapy, a clinician needs 350 direct supervision hours from an RPT-S.

Dr. Whitehead is the only AAMFT Approved Supervisor and one of two Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor’s in the Magic Valley region. He provides both in person and online supervision options for individual supervision. For individual supervision, please use the contact us form to see if there are any openings. Dr. Whitehead also offers group supervision for play therapy when interest is present. If you have a group of therapists wanting to do group supervision, contact Dr. Whitehead to discuss getting one started.
