About Larissa Macfarlane, B.A.

I am currently a Master’s (MA) level student at Liberty University in Marriage and Family Therapy. I am aiming to graduate and finish the Idaho LMFT licensure process by December 2021. Dr. Whitehead will be my supervisor through that process, and I am eager to be mentored by him. I plan to seek certification through AASECT to provide Sex Therapy to couples. I also have a BA from Southern Virginia University in Family and Child Development.

While I am new to the practice of therapy, I always seek out opportunities to strengthen and support those around me. With the knowledge base I have gained over eight years of education, I am confident in my ability to connect those I work with to resources that will be beneficial to them in overcoming the challenges they face. I know that each person holds the capacity to thrive and succeed at whatever they set out to do. My goal as a therapist is to identify problematic areas, provide support, and implement a strategy of continued care that carries out of the office back into day to day life.

A little about me as a person, I have been married for five years. We have two kids and a dog! We love to hike, swim, watch movies and play games together. I love to date my husband and we enjoy eating good food, discussing our favorite podcasts, and discovering fun places to visit.
