I am a school counselor at Xavier Charter School and support K-8 students socially, emotionally, and academically. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with an endorsement in Literacy from Boise State University. After teaching 4th grade for one year, I pursued my education and obtained my Masters in Counseling while I continued to teach. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and a National Certified Counselor who specializes in working with children and adolescents. I am a lifelong learner who is committed to continuously growing as a professional.
Working with children and adolescents is truly a passion of mine. My theoretical approach is Person Centered Therapy which emphasizes an individual’s ability to move in a positive direction. I strongly believe that all individuals have the capacity and potential for growth and change. I offer clients with an empathetic, non-judgemental space which enables them to reflect in order to make positive changes and self-acceptance.
In my extra time, I love spending time outdoors kayaking, hiking, camping, and skiing. I enjoy traveling and learning about different cultures.
